Boletim 110 – Comitê Popular em Defesa de Lula e da Democracia

1. Aconteceu na noite desta sexta-feira, em Contagem (MG), o ato nacional de lançamento da pré-candidatura de Lula à Presidência da República, com a presença das principais lideranças do PT, de movimentos sociais, artistas, intelectuais, religiosos e militantes de todos as regiões do país. Mesmo mantido como preso político em Curitiba, Lula inspira o povo brasileiro a ter esperança em um futuro melhor. O evento de hoje teve como objetivo reafirmar que Lula é o único plano do PT para o Brasil, uma vez que ele é o preferido pela população em todas as pesquisas e já mostrou que sabe governar promovendo desenvolvimento com justiça social. 2. No lançamento nacional da pré-candidatura de Lula foi lida uma carta escrita pelo ex-presidente, intitulada “Manifesto ao povo brasileiro”, na qual ele fala de sua indignação com a perseguição promovida pela operação Lava Jato e por setores do Judiciário e do Ministério Público, e também reitera seu compromisso com um projeto de País mais solidário e mais justo, que resgate a dignidade e a esperança do sofrido povo brasileiro e contemple os interesses nacionais antes de tudo. 3. Milhares de militantes que participaram da 17ª Jornada de Agroecologia em Curitiba marcharam desde o centro da cidade até a Vigília #LulaLivre para participar do “Boa Noite” ao ex-presidente Lula na frente da sede da Superintendência da Polícia Federal, em um ato que contou com a participação d o teólogo Leonardo Boff, do líder do MST João Pedro Stédile, do deputado federal Enio Verri (PT-PR), do senador Roberto Requião (MDB-PR), entre outras lideranças.

1. Lula’s pre-candidacy for the presidency of the republic was officially announced tonight, June 6th, in Contagem, Minas Gerais, in an event which featured leaders from the PT and the social movements, artists, intellectuals, religious leaders and activists from across the country. Even though he is being held as a political prisoner in Curitiba, Lula inspires the Brazilian people to hope for a better future. The objective of tonight’s event was to reaffirm that Lula is the PT’s only plan for Brazil, since he is the preferred candidate by the population in all election polls and has already shown that he knows how to govern promoting development and social justice. 2. During the announcement of Lula’s pre-candidacy a letter by the ex-President was read, entitled “Manifesto to the Brazilian People,” in which he speaks of his indignation with the persecution promoted by Operation Car Wash and by sectors of the judiciary and the public prosecutors office, and also reiterated his commitment to a project for a more just country with more solidarity, which recuperates the dignity and hope of the suffering Brazilian people and prioritizes national interests before all others. 3. Thousands of activists who participated in the 17th Agroecological Journey in Curitiba marched from downtown to the #LulaLivre Vigil tonight to participate in the “good night” yell to ex-President Lula in front of the Federal Police headquarters, in an act that also including the renowned theologian Leonardo Boff, MST leader João Pedro Stedile, Congressman Enio Verri (PT/Paraná), Senator Roberto Requião (MDB-Paraná) and other leaders.
