Boletim 107 – Comitê Popular em Defesa de Lula e da Democracia

1. Nesta quinta-feira (7) completam-se dois meses da prisão política e ilegal do ex-presidente Lula. Para protestar contra essa infame data, a Frente Brasil Popular realizará, na sexta-feira (8), a marcha “Rumo à Vigília Lula Livre”, para que centenas de trabalhadores participem do “Boa Noite” ao presidente Lula em frente à Superintendência da Polícia Federal. A marcha ocorre no contexto de realização da 17ª Jornada de Agroecologia, reunindo centenas de trabalhadores do campo e da cidade, num um exercício de envolvimento de todos os setores da sociedade que se colocam em defesa da democracia. 2. Uma delegação de noruegueses participou hoje do ato de bom dia ao presidente Lula. Eles estão há cinco meses no Brasil e vieram conhecer a realidade e atuação dos movimentos sociais, bem como as políticas sociais dos governos do PT. Eles enalteceram a importância da Vigília Democrática e também da necessidade de se denunciar a prisão política de Lula no exterior.

3. Rodrigo Tacla Duran, ex-advogado da Odebrecht que Sérgio Moro recusa ouvir como testemunha de Lula, denunciou na Câmara dos Deputados, nesta terça-feira (5), a existência de um esquema suspeito envolvendo comércio de delações, extorsões, falsificação de documentos e outras graves irregularidades em torno da Operação Lava Jato. 4. O teólogo e escritor Frei Betto visitou Lula em Curitiba na segunda-feira (4), onde conversou e orou com o ex-presidente, num encontro que durou uma hora e quinze minutos. 5. A programação da Vigília #LulaLivre nesta quarta-feira (6) está imperdível. Além dos tradicionais atos de bom dia e boa tarde ao presidente Lula, às 16h30 o doutor Ludimar Rafahim participa de um debate sobre a Reforma da Previdência. Às 17h30 o jornalista Johnny Martinez entrega cartas endereçadas a Lula e enviadas por lideranças argentinas. Confira a programação completa:

1. This Thursday, June 7, marks the two month anniversary of ex-President Lula’s illegal political imprisonment. To protest against this infamous event, the Frente Brasil Popular will hold a march, called, “Towards the Free Lula Vigil” on Friday, June 8th, to bring hundreds of people to the traditional “good night” yell to President Lula in front of the Federal Police Headquarters. The march is starting at the 17th annual Agroecological Journey, which unites hundreds of workers from the city and the countryside in an exercise involving all of the sectors of society that areworking to defend democracy. 2. A delegation of Norwegians participated in the “good morning” yell to President Lula today. They have been in Brazil for 5 months and came to learn about the reality and actions of the social movements, as well as the social policies of the PT governments. They emphasized the importance of the Democratic Vigil and also the need to denounce Lula’s political imprisonment internationally.

3. Rodrigo Tacla Duran, ex-lawyer from Odebrecht construction company, who Sergio Moro barred from testifying as a defense witness for Lula, testified in Congress today (June 5) about a suspicious arrangement involving the sale of plea bargain testimonies, extortion, falsification of documents and other serious irregularities in Operation Car Wash. 4. The theologian and writer Frei Betto visited Lula in Curitiba on Monday, June 4, and spoke and prayed with the ex-President, in a meeting that lasted one hour and fifteen minutes. Frei Betto said, in a text published in the press, that Lula is animated and very well informed about what is going on on the outside. 5. The schedule at the #LulaLivre Vigil on Wednesday, June 6, is unmissable. In addition to the traditional good morning and good afternoon yells for President Lula, at 4:30 PM Doctor Ludimar Rafahim is participating in a debate about pension reform.
