1. “Não há qualquer hipótese de recuo, sou candidato à Presidência da República nessas eleições de 2018”. Esse é o recado de Lula aos militantes e ao povo brasileiro, transmitido pelo deputado Wadih Lula Damous (PT-RJ), que visitou o ex-presidente nesta segunda-feira (23), em Curitiba. Em entrevista na Vigília #LulaLivre, Wadih disse que o ex-presidente está com muita disposição para o combate em favor do Brasil. O registro da candidatura Lula Presidente será no dia 15 de agosto.

2. Lula é o candidato favorito em todo o Brasil, e em Minas Gerais não é diferente. Pesquisa do Instituto Doxa, divulgada pelo jornal O Tempo neste domingo (22), mostra Lula com 41% da preferência do eleitorado mineiro como candidato à Presidência da República. Todos os outros candidatos à Presidência, se tiverem as intenções de votos somadas, não chegam a 30%. No ranking das legendas preferidas dos eleitores, o Partido dos Trabalhadores também lidera no estado, com 17% da preferência dos mineiros.

3. A prisão política do ex-presidente Lula e as articulações para que a sua candidatura seja barrada pela justiça motivam a campanha “Mulheres com Lula”, lançada nesta segunda-feira (23) pela Secretaria Nacional de Mulheres do PT. A ação endossa o abaixo assinado lançado pelo Comitê Lula Livre que pede ao Supremo Tribunal Federal e ao Superior Tribunal de Justiça que a condenação sem provas, injusta e arbitrária seja anulada.

5. O ex-presidente Lula recebeu nesta segunda-feira (23) a visita espiritual do pastor luterano Inácio Lemke. Depois do encontro, o pastor esteve com os militantes da Vigília #LulaLivre e afirmou que saiu do encontro alimentado de esperança. “Lula tem certeza que nós podemos fazer do Brasil o que era até pouco tempo atrás. Em nome dele, trago palavras de esperança para os movimentos, sindicatos, a juventude”, afirmou.

6. A Vigília #Lula Livre teve nesta segunda-feira sua primeira sessão de cinema. Abrigados na tenda que concentra as atividades na vigília, os militantes assistiram ao documentário “A Comida está na Mesa”, do cineasta Silvio Tendler. “Esse filme vai ao encontro do nosso debate sobre alimentação saudável”, disse Wellington Lenon, da Comunicação do MST.

1. “There is no chance of retreat. I am a candidate for the Presidency of the Republic in 2018.” This is the message from Lula to the activists and the Brazilian people given by Congressman Wadih Lula Damous (PT-Rio de Janeiro), who visited the ex-President on this Monday, July 23rd, in Curitiba. During an interview in the #LulaLivre Vigil, Wadih said that the ex-president is full of energy for the struggle for Brazil. Lula’s candidacy for the presidency will be registered on August 15th. 2. Lula is the favored candidate everywhere in Brazil, and Minas Gerais is no different. A poll taken by Instituto Doxa, published in O Tempo newspaper on Sunday, July 22nd, shows Lula with 41% of voter preference for the presidency, among voters in that state. The sum total of all the other candidates together does not reach 30%. 3. The political imprisonment of ex-President Lula and the collective fight against the barring of his candidacy has triggered the campaign, “Women with Lula,” launched this Saturday, July 23rd, by the PT’s National Woman’s Secretariat. The campaign supports the Free Lula Committee’s petition drive to pressure the Federal Supreme Court and the Superior Justice Court to annul the unjust and arbitrary charges that were made against Lula without proof. 4. Chico Buarque and Gilberto Gil have confirmed that they will perform at the Free Lula Festival on Saturday, July 28th, starting at 2 PM in front of the Lapa Aqueduct in Rio de Janeiro. 5. Today, on July 23rd, ex-president Lula received a spiritual visit from the Lutheran Pastor Inácio Lemke. After the meeting, the Pastor met with the activists in the #LulaLivre Vigil and said that he left the visit full of hope. “Lula is certain that we can transform Brazil back into what it was a short time ago. 6. On this Monday the #LulaLivre Vigil had its first Cinema session. Inside the tent where many of the activities in the Vigil are held, the activists watched Silvio Tendler’s documentary, “A Comida está na Mesa.” “This is an important film for our debate about healthy food,” said Wellington Lenon, from the MST’s Communications Sector.
