1- Os senadores Lindbergh Farias (PT-RJ) e Roberto Requião (PMDB-PR) e os deputados federais Nilto Tatto (PT-SP e Valdenor Pereira (PT-BA) visitaram hoje a Vigília #LulaLivre e participaram, às 15h, de um ato político com a presidenta da CUT/Paraná, Regina Cruz, em repúdio ao atentado ocorrido no sábado contra militantes do acampamento Marisa Letícia e com o objetivo de exigir das autoridades da área de segurança a identificação e punição dos criminosos fascistas.

2- Uma manifestação inédita em apoio a #LulaLivre será realizada na manhã desta-segunda-feira (30) com diferentes tipos de embarcação pelos rios Solimões e Negro, no estado do Amazonas. Haverá uma série de atividades a partir das 7h30 (8h30 em Brasília), culminando com a Caravana das Águas Lula Livre. Essa caravana, com dezenas de embarcações, sairá da cidade de Iranduba às 10:00h e atravessará o rio Solimões até a Ilha da Paciência, local onde foi empreendido o programa Luz para Todos durante os governos Lula e Dilma. São atividades promovidas pelo Comitê Iranduba sem Medo, com apoio de Núcleos do PT Manaus e dos deputados estaduais petistas Sinésio Campos e José Ricardo e o ex-vereador Waldemir José (PT), da capital amazonense. Comunidades ribeirinhas estão envolvidas com a atividade, que terá também carreatas pela ponte sobre o rio Negro, com quase 4 km de extensão.

3) Vencedor da competição internacional de documentários Visions du Réel, em Nyon, na Suíça, e escolhido pelo público como o terceiro melhor da mostra Panorama, do Festival de Berlim, “O Processo”, de Maria Augusta Ramos, vai abrir a programação da Mostra de Cinema pela Democracia em Curitiba que começa nesta segunda-feira (30). Nos dias 4, 5 e 6, sempre às 19h, os filmes serão exibidos no acampamento Marisa Letícia, perto da Polícia Federal, onde o ex-presidente Lula está detido desde 7 de abril. O documentário narra a história do golpe que derrubou Dilma Rousseff em 2016. A exibição do documentário no âmbito da Vigília #LulaLivre é uma maneira de somar forças à resistência pela democracia.

4- Na manhã deste domingo, em Curitiba (PR), o grupo 1º de Maio – que conta com militantes do Nordeste, São Paulo e Curitiba – panfletou na região sul da capital com materiais que denunciam a prisão política de Lula e pedem #LulaLivre”. Ao longo das últimas três semanas, esse tipo de ação tem se espalhado pela capital paranaense e por outros estados do país.

7) Pela primeira vez desde a redemocratização do país, as sete maiores centrais sindicais brasileiras farão, este ano, um 1º de Maio unificado. O ato de Curitiba terá como mote “Em Defesa dos Direitos e por Lula Livre”. O que unificou CUT, Força Sindical, CTB, NCST, UGT, CSB e Intersindical foi a defesa da liberdade do ex-presidente Lula, mantido como preso político na sede da Superintendência da Polícia Federal de Curitiba há mais de 20 dias, e a certeza de que sua eleição Lula para presidente da República em outubro é a chance que a classe trabalhadora resgatar direitos perdidos com o atual governo, que assumiu em 2016 via golpe de Estado parlamentar, judicial e midiático.

8) A ex-presidenta chilena Michele Bachelet defendeu o ex-presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva e a presidenta deposta pelo golpe, Dilma Rousseff. Em evento no Chile, Michele mandou um recado direto do Brasil, ao dizer que os países da América do Sul devem aprender a respeitar as urnas. Em fala ao Congresso Nacional de seu país neste domingo, defendeu a democracia e afirmou: “existe um princípio chave em todo o lugar, que são as urnas, onde está localizada a soberania popular. Muito amor a Lula e Dilma”. A senadora Gleisi Hoffmann (PR), presidenta do PT, também participou do evento, denunciando a prisão política de Lula.

1. Senators Lindbergh Farias (PT-Rio de Janeiro) and Roberto Requião (PMDB-Paraná), and Congressmen Nilto Tatto (PT- São Paulo) and Valdenor Pereira (PT- Bahia) visited the #LulaLivre Vigil today and, at 3 PM, participated in a political act with the Paraná State President of the CUT labor union federation, Regina Cruz, in repudiation of the gunfire attack that took place on Saturday against the activists in the Marisa Leticia camp, with the aim of demanding that security officials identify and punish the fascist criminals.

2. An unprecedented protest in support of #LulaLivre will take place tomorrow morning, April 30, with a boat flotilla on the Negro and Solimões Rivers in Amazonas State. There will be a series of activities starting at 7:30 AM (8:30 in Brasilia), culminating in the Lula Livre Boat Caravan. This caravan, which will have dozens of boats, will leave the town of Iranduba at 10 AM and cross the Solimões River to Paciência Island, a location that benefited from the Light for All program during the Lula and Dilma Rousseff governments. The activities have been coordinated by the Iranduba without Fear Committee, with support from State Congressmen Sinésio Campos and José Ricardo (PT-Amazonas), and Waldemir José from Manaus PT organization. Riverine communities will take place in the activities, which will also include an auto procession over the 4km wide Negro River bridge.

3. The Process, winner of the Visons du Réel International Documentary Festival, in Nyon, Switzerland and chosen by the public as the 3rd best film in the Panorama Showing at the Berlin Film Festival, directed by Maria Augusta Ramos, will open the Film for Democracy Festival in Curitiba, on Monday, April 30. From April 4-6 the films will be shown in the Marisa Leticia camp near the Federal Police headquarters where the ex-President has been held since April 7. The documentary tells the story of the coup that took down Dilma Rousseff in 2016. The exhibition of the documentary at the #LulaLivre Vigil is a way to join forces and strengthen the struggle for democracy.

4. This Sunday Morning, April 29th, in Curitiba, the May 1stGroup, which includes activists from the Northeast, São Paulo and Curitiba, handed out pamphlets on the South Side of Curitiba which denounce Lula’s political imprisonment and call for his freedom, #LulaLivre. During the past three weeks this type of action has spread across Curitiba and through other states across the country.

6. For the first time since the re-democratization of Brazil, in 1988, the seven largest union federations will hold their May Day protest together. The protest, in Curitiba, will have the theme, “In Defense of Rights and to Free Lula”. The CUT, Força Sindical, CTB, NCST, UGT, CSB and Intersindical are united for the defense of freedom for ex-President Lula, who has been held as a political prisoner in the Federal Police Headquarters in Curitiba for over 20 days, with the certainty that his election for President in October is the best chance that the working class has to recuperate the rights that have been lost due to the current government, which took power in 2016 through a Parliamentary, Judicial and Media Coup.

7. Michele Bachelet, the ex-President of Chile, defended former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff, the President deposed by the Coup. In an event in Chile, Bachelet sent a message straight to Brasilia saying that South American nations should respect the ballot box. In a speech in National Congress this Sunday she defended democracy and said, “there is a key principal everywhere, called the ballot box, where the people’s sovereignty is located. Much love to Lula and Dilma.” PT President, Senator Gleisi Hoffmann also participated in the event, denouncing Lula’s political imprisonment.
