1. “Porque a gente ainda vai festejar, e muito. A alegria, a liberdade e a justiça de um povo que não tem medo e que não se entrega não.” Foi com essas palavras que o ex-presidente Lula agradeceu os artistas que transformaram o sonho do Festival Lula Livre em realidade. Mais de quarenta músicos, poetas, atores, cineastas, artesãos e dançarinos se revezaram em dez horas de programação para as mais de 80 mil pessoas que passaram pelos Arcos da Lapa – e outros milhares que acompanharam pela TV e internet, nesse sábado (28).

2. O ex-presidente Lula enviou carta de gratidão aos artistas e ao público do Festival Lula Livre. Ela foi lida pelo ator Herson Capri no alto do palco central. “Vocês não sabem quantas vezes a música, os livros, a arte, tem me ajudado a atravessar essa provação, que não é maior que a de tantos pais e mães de família, brasileiros que hoje não sabem como irão trazer comida para casa. É em nome deles que não podemos desanimar jamais”, afirma Lula.

3. E o movimento Lula Livre continua forte no Rio de Janeiro. O Lulaço de hoje (29) foi na Feira de São Cristóvão. O “Olê, Olê, Olê, Olá, Lula, Lula” foi puxado pelo TromPetista e a população cantou junto.

4. Neste domingo (29), em Nova York, o Comitê Defend Democracy in Brazil realiza um ato-ocupação na abertura do Festival de verão de música brasileira em NY para conscientizar o público americano e internacional sobre a luta para libertar o ex-presidente Lula.

5. Em artigo inédito publicado em três jornais nordestinos neste domingo (29) – Jornal do Commercio (PE), A Tarde (BA) e O Povo (CE), o ex-presidente Lula fala da importância de movimentar a economia para o país recuperar sua capacidade de investimento e iniciar um novo ciclo de crescimento. “Dinheiro na mão de rico fica parado no banco. Dinheiro na mão de pobre, movimenta a economia”, escreveu.

1. “Because the people will still celebrate, a lot. It’s the happiness, the freedom and the justice of a people who are not afraid and who will not sell out.” It was with these words that ex-President Lula thanked the artists who transformed the dream of the Free Lula Festival into reality. Over 40 musicians, poets, actors, film makers, artisans and dancers performed for 10 hours to a crowd of over 80,000 people who came out to the Lapa Aqueduct in Rio – and thousands more who watched the event on TV and on the internet this Saturday, July 28th. https://pt.org.br/festival-lula-livre-historico/

2. Ex-President Lula sent a thank you letter to the artists and the public at the Free Lula Festival. It was read by the actor Herson Capri on the central stage. “You don’t know how much music, books and art have helped me through this provocation, which is not as bad as so many fathers and mothers, heads of families, Brazilians who don’t know how they are going to bring food home. It is in their names that we can never lose hope,” said Lula. 3. The Free Lula movement continues strong in Rio de Janeiro. The yells for Lula today took place in the São Cristovão Market. The “Olê, Olê, Olê, Olá, Lula, Lula” chant was let by the PT Trumpeter and the whole crowd sang along. 5. In an exclusive article published in three Northeastern newspapers today, July 29th, – Jornal do Commercio (Pernambuco), A Tarde (Bahia) and O Povo (Ceara), ex-President Lula spoke of the importance of stimulating the economy for the Nation to rebuild its capacity for investment and start a new growth cycle. “Money in the hands of the rich sits still in the banks.
