Boletim 48 – Comitê Popular em Defesa de Lula e da Democracia

1. Hoje, o “Bom Dia, Lula!” com militantes de diferentes estados que se encontram na Vigília #LulaLivre teve a participação do ex-presidente do PT, Rui Falcão. Pela manhã houve também uma reza em homenagem a dona Marisa Letícia.

2. Petroleiros, petroquímicos e trabalhadores da montagem e manutenção industrial da Refinaria Presidente Getúlio Vargas ou Refinaria do Paraná (Repar) paralisaram hoje o complexo industrial da Petrobras na cidade de Araucária. Eles participam da campanha #LulaLivre e protestam contra Pedro Parente (presidente da Petrobras) e a ameaça de privatização da Repar e outras três refinarias e seus sistemas logísticos (dutos e terminais de distribuição), bem como da Fábrica de Fertilizantes Nitrogenados (Fafen-PR). Os manifestantes bloqueiam os portões de acesso às fábricas. O protesto é organizado pelos três sindicatos que representam as categorias no complexo de Araucária.

3. A Vigília #LulaLivre recebe no começo da tarde desta quinta-feira o deputado federal Leonardo Monteiro (PT-MG), que participará de ato com os militantes do acampamento. Haverá ainda ato com um grupo de mulheres que estão tecendo uma manta para Lula usar para se proteger do frio da capital do Paraná. No final da tarde, será realizada a Oficina de Intervenção Urbana, com Lúcia Helena Martins, professora da Faculdade de Artes do Paraná. Às 16h30 será promovida uma roda de blues.

4. ‘Ele é surpreendente, não esmorece nunca’, afirma Lurian, filha de Lula. Em entrevista, a filha do ex-presidente contou como a família tem enfrentado a prisão de Lula, fala do ânimo do pai para seguir na luta pela democracia e faz um chamado ao povo brasileiro: ‘a gente não pode desistir’. Ela visitou o pai na Superintendência da Polícia Federal em Curitiba e tem participado de atividades de solidariedade e de apoio ao ex-presidente. A entrevista pode ser lida aqui:

Curitiba, Parana,Brazil – April 26, 2018 – 12 Noon

1. Today the ex-President of PT, Rui Falcão, participated in the “Good Morning, Lula!” yell, along with the activists from across Brazil who have come to the #LulaLivre Vigil. This morning there was also a prayer session to honor the late Marisa Leticia, Lula’s wife.

2. Petroleum, petrochemical, assembly and maintenance workers at the Presidente Getulio Vargas Refinery (Paraná Refinery/Repar) paralyzed the Petrobras industrial complex in the city of Araucária. They are participating in the #LulaLivre campaign and are protesting against Pedro Parente (President of Petrobras) and his threat to privatize their refinery, three other refineries and their related logistical systems (distribution terminals and pipelines), along with the Nitrogenados Fertilizer factory (Fafen-Paraná). The protestors blocked the access doors to the factories. The protest was organized by the three unions that represent the different worker categories in the Aruacária industrial complex.

3. On Thursday afternoon, Congressman Leonardo Monteiro (PT- Minas Gerais) will visit the #LulaLivre Vigil to participate in a protest with the activists at the camp. Afterwords, a group of women who are knitting a blanket for Lula, to protect him from the cold, will make a presentation in the camp. Later on in the afternoon, Professor Lúcia Helena Martins, from the Faculdade de Artes de Parana, will facilitate an urban intervention workshop. At 4:30 PM there will be a blues jam session.

4. “He is surprising, he, never fades away,” said Lurian, Lula’s daughter. In an interview, the ex-President’s daughter told how her family has been dealing with Lula’s imprisonment, how her father is enthusiastic about continuing the struggle for democracy and made a call to the Brazilian people: “the people can’t give up.” She visited her father at the Federal Police headquarters building in Curitiba and participated in solidarity activities in support of the ex-president.
