Note of condolence

Marisa Leticia will forever live in our hearts as the first star of the PT. It was she who, with the scraps she had at home, stitched our first flag.

She was also one of the main victims of the cruel attacks of the Brazilian elite, which did not support the changes that our flag brought to the country, a true revolution for social inclusion. They ripped expensive principles of the Democratic Rule of Law, such as the need for evidence in an indictment. They broke personal secrets of her life and her family, without even a proof.

Marisa Leticia kept her head high as the innocents and those who do not run away from fighting. She was also the one who has always supported and stood shoulder to shoulder with our beloved President Lula in his journey of struggle for social justice.

Comrade Marisa, your name will be at the heart of our flag. And it is under this flag that we will continue to fight for the project for a new Brazil.

In this moment of great pain, I convey, on behalf of the thousands of militants and sympathizers of the PT, our condolences to former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, his family and all those who have lived with our dearest Marisa.
