1. Após um covarde ataque à Vigília Lula Livre em Curitiba, na noite de quarta-feira (13), um grupo de moradores do bairro onde está a Superintendência da Polícia Federal, o Santa Cândida, além de outros bairros, divulgou um manifesto contra a truculência e a favor do respeito ao direito de livre expressão. “Repudiamos todo e qualquer ataque à democracia. Não abrimos mão dos princípios democráticos! Exigimos respeito ao direito de manifestação, assim como exigimos que os horários de silêncio sejam respeitados. Alertamos para o uso do nome ‘Moradores do Santa Cândida’ por um pequeno grupo que não nos representa. Não somos ódio, não somos exclusão. 2. Em entrevista exclusiva ao jornal cubano Granma, Lula agradece a mobilização popular em sua defesa e diz que injustiças contra ele são também contra os brasileiros. “O processo contra mim não aponta um crime, nem há provas. Eles tiveram que desrespeitar a Constituição para me prender. O que está se tornando cada vez mais transparente para a sociedade brasileira e para o mundo é que eles querem me tirar das eleições de 2018. O golpe em 2016, com a retirada de um presidente eleito, indica que eles não admitem que as pessoas votem em quem quiser votar”, diz o presidente na entrevista. Leia aqui:

3. A Vigília Lula Livre se despediu nesta sexta (15) de uma caravana do Rio Grande do Sul que deixou como presente para ser entregue ao ex-presidente uma bandeira feita com fuxico (técnica de artesanato com tecidos que têm mais de 150 anos). Enquanto a delegação gaúcha se despedia, chegava um grupo de companheiros de Santa Catarina, renovando as energias da resistência.

1. After a cowardly attack on the Free Lula Vigil in Curitiba on Wednesday night (June 13th), a group of residents from the neighborhood where the Federal Police Superintendency is located (Santa Cândida) together with residents of other neighborhoods, issued a manifesto against aggression and in favor of respect for the right to free expression. “We reject any and every attack on democracy. We will never give up our democratic principles! We demand respect for the right to demonstrate, just as we demand that the hours of silence be respected. The name ‘Residents of Santa Cândida’ (‘Moradores do Santa Cândida) is being used by a small group that does not represent us. We are not about hatred or exclusion; we stand for solidarity, respect and love,” says the document. 2. In an exclusive interview with the Cuban newspaper Granma, Lula expressed gratitude for the popular mobilization in his defense and said that injustices against him are injustices against all Brazilians. “The lawsuit against me does not cite a crime or any evidence. They had to override the Constitution to arrest me. What is becoming increasingly clear to Brazilian society and the world is that they want me out of the 2018 elections. The coup in 2016, with its removal of an elected president, clearly showed that they will not let people vote for the candidate they want.” Read more:

3. The Lula Livre Vigil bade farewell on Friday (June 15th) to a caravan from Rio Grande do Sul who left behind a gift to be delivered to the former president of a flag made using “fuxico” (a craft technique with more than 150 years’ history). As the Rio Grande do Sul delegation left, a group of comrades from Santa Catarina arrived, renewing the energies of the resistance.
