Boletim 97 – Comitê em Defesa de Lula e da Democracia

1. Neste domingo (27) acontece o lançamento da pré-candidatura de Lula à Presidência da República. Em Curitiba, a partir das 10h haverá uma concentração na Alameda Princesa Izabel, em frente à sede PT do Paraná, e às 10h30 acontecerá um bandeiraço na feira do Largo da Ordem. Às 17h ocorrerá um ato político na Praça Olga Benário, em frente à Polícia Federal.

2. Várias cidades do Brasil já confirmaram atos em apoio à pré-candidatura de Lula. 3. Antes do ato de lançamento da pré-candidatura de Lula, a Vigília #LulaLivre irá organizar atividades especiais como um debate no programa Democracia em Rede, uma roda de música caipira e forró com o pernambucano Feiticeiro Julião. Após o ato político das 17h será realizado um encontro inter-religioso.

4. Neste sábado a coordenadora da Marcha Mundial de Mulheres, Nalu Faria, participou do “bom dia, presidente” e falou sobre o caráter misógino do golpe e sobre a importância da liberdade Lula para as mulheres brasileiras. Na parte da tarde, foi realizado um debate sobre o golpe e seus efeitos com Lafaiette Neves, professor aposentado da UFPR e doutor em desenvolvimento econômico.

5. Mais uma delegação chegou à Vigília #LulaLivre neste sábado. Às 6 horas da manhã um grupo de pessoas vindas de São Paulo se juntou aos guerreiros e guerreiras que há 50 dias fazem história em defesa de Lula e da democracia e seguem denunciando a prisão política do ex-presidente.

Bulletin 97 – People’s Committee in Defence of Lula and Democracy

1. On this Sunday, May 27th, Lula’s name will be announced as pre-candidate for President of the Republic. In Curitiba, starting at 10 AM, supporters will gather on Alameda Princesa Isabel street, in front of the PT’s Paraná State Headquarters. At 10:30 AM the crowd will raise flags and banners at the Largo de Ordem market. At 5 PM there will be a political act on Olga Benario square in front of the Federal Police Headquarters.

2. Many cities across Brazil have confirmed that they will hold demonstrations of support for Lula’s pre-candidacy tomorrow. If you are planning on participating in an event, email a photo, video or testimony to the PT press agency:[email protected]

3. Before the act to launch Lula’s pre-candidacy tomorrow, there will be special activities at the #LulaLivre Vigil, including a debate during the Democracia em Rede program, and a Forro and Caipira music jam session with the Pernambuco based musician Feiticeiro Julião. After the political demonstration at 5 PM there will be an inter-religious encounter.

4. Today, on Saturday, May 26th, Nalu Faria, coordinator of the World Woman’s March, participated in the “Good Morning President” yell, and spoke about the misogynistic character of the coup and the importance of freedom for Lula for Brazilian women. During the afternoon there was a debate about the coup and its effects with Lafaiette Neves, retired professor from Parana Federal University (UFPR) and Doctor in Economic Development.

5. Another delegation arrived at the #LulaLivre Vigil this Saturday. At 6 AM a group of people arrived from São Paulo and joined the warriors who have been making history for 50 days in defense of Lula and democracy, who continue to denounce the political imprisonment of the ex-President.
